As Mamicha grew, my mother Ms.Rupali Makrani came on board, bringing her expertise in finance and team leadership. Together, we laid a strong foundation for a brand rooted in purpose, belief and community.

From Not Fitting In to Standing Tall: The Birth of Mamicha

I, Chakshu started Mamicha in 2020 from my home in New Delhi—with a head full of dreams and heart full of purpose. Growing up as a plus-size girl, I experienced how people treated me differently just because of how I looked. I was raised by a strong willed woman—my mother—who taught me to speak the truth and wear my heart on my sleeve. And yet, I still found myself in spaces that told me, implicitly or loudly, that I didn’t quite "fit." So, one day, I decided to put my foot down. I was done with shrinking myself—physically, motionally, and mentally—to fit into society’s narrow definitions of beauty and worth. That’s when Mamicha was born.
